Bandra-Khar West & other areas to face 10% water cut from February 27 to March 11

Residents are being urged to use water judiciously.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced a 10% water cut in certain areas of the H/West ward, including Bandra and Khar West, from February 27 to March 11. This decision is due to ongoing rehabilitation work at Pali Hill reservoir, aimed at strengthening the old 600-mm inlet main line.

Affected areas include Ghazdarband, Dandapada, Kantwadi, Khar West, Sherli Rajan, parts of Bandra West, Dileep Kumar Zone, Kol Dongri Zone, Zig Zag Road Zone. Regular water supply will resume after March 11, with BMC urging residents to use water judiciously.

Meanwhile, BMC continues its sanitation efforts, utiliswater cut in baing 15.49 lakh litres of water daily to wash roads across Mumbai, covering 659.09 km as part of the Chief Minister's deep cleaning scheme. This water is being fetched from bore wells and sewage treatment plants.
