Dadar Station in Mumbai, serving as a crucial interchange point between Central Railway (CR) and Western Railway (WR), is set to undergo a renumbering of its platforms. The current platform sequence from 1 to 8 will be revamped to a new arrangement ranging from 8 to 14, with the implementation scheduled for December 9, Saturday.

In response to passenger confusion stemming from identical numbering on the seven platforms of both CR and WR, the Central Railways Divisional Manager has initiated this renumbering project.

The objective of this initiative is to bring clarity to platform identification. The renumbering will commence with platform number 1 for WR, while the final platform of CR will be designated as 14. To ensure seamless communication, the new platform numbers will be reflected in signage, announcements, and various systems throughout the station.
