Knocksense Shorts | Passing Class 5 exam now mandatory for Classes 6-8 admissions across Maha

In a bid to streamline the admission process for students in classes 6-8 across Maharashtra, a noteworthy change has been implemented. Formerly, in accordance with the Right To Education (RTE) Act recommendations, age-appropriate admissions were permitted in classes 6 to 8, without considering the candidate's previous academic record.

However, under the latest criteria, students seeking admission to these classes must now successfully clear the annual examination for class 5. To enhance educational standards, this directive will apply to all students in classes 5 and 8 in Maharashtra board schools, with mandatory annual exams scheduled to take place in the second week of April. In case a child fails to clear the exams, he or she will be given re-admission to class 5.
