The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall across Mumbai and its suburbs on July 17. According to the IMD, residents should expect moderate to heavy rains throughout the day, with isolated areas likely experiencing very heavy showers.
The maximum temperature is anticipated to reach around 29°C, while the minimum temperature will hover around 25°C.
Red Alert from July 18-20
An Orange Alert has been issued for Central Maharashtra, predicting heavy to very heavy rain over the next five days, with a Red Alert in place from July 18-20. Mumbai’s Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) also warns of heavy rain likely to continue in the financial capital until July 19.

Extremely heavy rain is forecasted over Konkan and Goa on July 16, 18, and 19; Central Maharashtra from July 18-20; and various other regions including Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu over the coming days.
