These lines, covering 18.6 km and 16.5 km respectively, serve over 2.5 lakh daily passengers. Metro Line 2B nears completion, 78% civil work completed
Mumbai Metro Line 2B, connecting D N Nagar in Andheri to Mandale in Mankhurd, will link key areas like Andheri, Bandra, Chembur, and Mankhurd. With 78% of civil work completed, the 23.6 km line will serve 10 lakh daily passengers. The project is expected to be completed in phases, with the first phase in 2026. New Metro Line 12 to cut travel time by 45 minutes, set for 2027 completion
Mumbai Metro Line 12 (Orange Line), spanning 22.17 km with 19 stations, will connect Kalyan, Dombivli, and Taloja, reducing travel time by 45 minutes and easing road congestion. Overseen by MMRDA, this ₹5,865 crore project is set to enhance connectivity, boost economic growth, and accommodate 2.94 lakh daily commuters by 2041. Completion is expected by December 2027.
