Traffic advisory issued for RBI's 90th year celebrations in Mumbai; check details

Traffic patterns would be affected form 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM

The Mumbai Traffic Police has issued a special advisory ahead of the visit of India's Prime Minister today, April 1. With the PM scheduled to address a ceremony commemorating "90 years of the Reserve Bank of India", traffic patterns have been altered from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. India's Finance Minister is also expected to attend the event.

Restricted parking zones include several prominent roads such as:

  • Shahid Bhagatsing Road

  • Nathalal Parekh Road

  • Captain Prakash Pethe Road

  • Rambhau Salgaonkar Road

  • Gen. Jagannath Bhosle Road

  • Madam Cama Road

  • Barrister Rajni Patel Marg

  • Jamanalal Bajaj Marg

  • Vinay K Shah Marg

  • Ramnath Goika Marg

  • Dorabaji Tata Road

  • NCPA Marg

  • Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Road

  • VV Rao Marg

  • Best Road

The given alternate routes are:

  • Rambhau Salgaonkar Road (One Way): Open from Indu Clinic Junction to Volga Chowk.

  • Jamanalal Bajaj Marg (One Way): Open from Maker Tower 04 to Usha Mehta Chowk.

  • Vinay K Shah Nurg (One Way): Open from Jamanalal Bajaj Marg to NCPA Gate No 04.

Additionally, parking will be limited in certain areas during the designated hours. The PM is set to arrive via helicopter at INS Shikra in Colaba, before proceeding to the RBI, adjacent to Town Hall by road. Commuters are urged to plan accordingly to avoid disruptions.
