OnePlus could launch its flagship phone of 2019, the OnePlus 7 Pro alongside a regular OnePlus 7 on May 14. It will be a global launch and the OnePlus 7 Pro has the tagline- "Go Beyond Speed". This was revealed by 16-year-old Ishan Agarwal on Twitter.
Recently, two leaked images of the phone which is said to be the OnePlus 7 Pro were leaked and they gave us an insight into most of the specifications in the smartphone. The leaked images also suggest that the Pro version of the OnePlus 7 will come with a curved display, which is something new for the company. Apart from that, the fact that the company will launch two seperate versions of the phone is also a first for OnePlus. Recently, the tagline of the phone was also leaked- "Go beyond Speed"
Upon comparing the phone to the OPPO F11 Pro, the OnePlus 7 seems to have an edge. The OPPO phone has a capacitive fingerprint sensor at the back and though this makes the unlock faster, it makes the phone looks dated. What's similar about both the phones is the fact that they both have a pop-up front facing camera and a bezel less screen.
Against the Galaxy S10 also, the phone has an edge as it will come at a much cheaper price, in comparison. The speed and performance of the phone will be able to compete with the S10 and in some ways, it would even be a wiser, more economical choice.
The OnePlus 7 is likely to have a 6.5-inch FHD+ display while the 7 Pro will have a 6.67-inch display with curved glass on the side. This time, the phone will be free of notches and bezels as it opts for the more futuristic pop-up front facing camera.
Under the hood, both phones will come packed with the latest and fastest Snapdragon 855 chipset paired with at least 6GB of RAM. Apart from that, the OnePlus 7 also packs in a bigger battery than the OnePlus 6T with 4,150mAH.
This time around, the phones will sport a triple rear camera set-up, which is another first for the company. As per the leaks, the OnePlus 7 will have a primary 12-megapixel sensor with f/1.5 aperture, a 20-megapixel sensor with f/2.6 aperture and a 3D Time of Flight (ToF) sensor along with a popup 16-megapixel front facing shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
As for the OnePlus 7 Pro, it will also house a triple camera set-up. The primary sensor being 48-megapixels, secondary being 16-megapixels and the final one being 8-megapixels. No details about the front facing camera have been revealed yet.
Apart from the two phones, the company will also launch a 5G variant of the phone, thereby making a total of three phones. Though there are no details about the 5G phone, we can expect it to have specifications similar to the OnePlus 7 Pro.
In the past, OnePlus phones have been regarded as some of the best Android phones. Though some may feel that the phones lack in camera performance, it makes up for that in its speed and longevity. Like in the past, OnePlus phones have paved the way for many new technologies and this year too, the company is all set to make waves with their new phones.

OnePlus today announced its latest flagship, the OnePlus 6T with a new in-display fingerprint sensor in India. The device was announced yesterday in New York and has now been made official in the country.
The OnePlus 6T has been introduced with several improvements over its predecessor, including a bigger display, smaller notch, new quick gestures and camera improvements.
OnePlus has also announced the Nightscape mode for improved low light images. At the event, the company also announced that this feature will start rolling out for the OnePlus 6 users in India starting from tomorrow, October 31.
Let’s take a look at the new OnePlus 6T.
Design & Display
Starting with the build, OnePlus 6T has a metal and glass construction similar to its predecessor. However, the 6T is on the heftier side and weighs a little more than the OnePlus 6. The OnePlus 6T will be available in Mirror Black and Midnight Black color options on launch.
The 6T measures 157.5 x 74.8 x 8.2mm and weighs around 185 g which is around 8 g more than the OnePlus 6. Addition of new components and a bigger battery are credited to this increase in weight and depth.
OnePlus 6T features a full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels), 6.41-inch Optic AMOLED display which is up from 6.28-inch on the OnePlus 6. The company was able to achieve this by further tweaking the notch which has been revamped and now resembles a waterdrop. This allows the OnePlus 6T to have a 19.5:9 aspect ratio with an 86% screen-to-body ratio. The display also supports sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamut.
The 6T is also one of the very first smartphones to ship with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 6. While the OnePlus 6T features improved dust and water resistance, although the company advised users not to “take it for a swim”.
With the OnePlus 6T, the company has also done away with a physical fingerprint sensor. There’s a fingerprint sensor embedded into the display itself which uses light through the display to read a user’s fingerprint.
Under the hood
Powering the OnePlus 6T is Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 845 chipset with an octa-core CPU, four Kryo 385 Gold cores clocked at 2.8GHz and the other four Kryo 385 Silver cores clocked at 1.7GHz.
There’s also an AI engine aboard 6T which assists in camera, UI among other such features. For smooth graphics performance, the SoC works in tandem with Adreno 630 and is backed by 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options.
OnePlus 6T sports a primary 16-megapixel camera with a Sony IMX519 sensor and a secondary 20-megapixel snapper with Sony IMX376K sensor. On the front, there’s a 16-megapixel selfie camera as well, housed in the waterdrop notch.
OnePlus has added a slew of new camera features to the 6T such as AI scene detection, night mode (also coming to OnePlus 6 by the end of this week) and studio lighting among others.
The primary camera on the 6T supports both optical and electronic image stabilization. It can shoot 4K at 60fps and full HD super slow motion videos at 240fps.
The OnePlus 6T has received a bump in the battery department and the capacity is now increased to 3,700mAh with support for fast charging. In addition to this, the OnePlus 6T does not come with a 3.5mm headphone jack anymore but OnePlus provides Type-C to 3.5 mm headphone jack adapter in-the-box.
OnePlus 6T price and availability in India
In India, the OnePlus 6T has been priced at Rs. 37,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB variant, Rs. 41,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and Rs. 45,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The Lucknow metro started its journey on the 5th of September, 2017. It has been 4 months since then and after a few on and off issues, a new criteria emerged recently.
The running has mostly been smooth and no temporary issue came to notice. However, recently there supposedly has been a new addition to the Lucknow metro rulebook. People have been stopped and refused to carry professional cameras or compact cameras inside the metro.
The officials at the security gates stopped the travelers from carrying DSLR’s and small compact cameras. Whereas in Delhi and Mumbai metro, no such rule is there and people carry whatever is necessary for them.
The officials off the record said that it has been done to stop people from taking pictures of other passengers and cause any harm to co-passengers privacy. They mentioned that people can carry cameras inside their luggage bags but not separately.
What about phone cameras?
People are allowed to carry smartphones, which at times have better picture taking capabilities these days. Likes of OnePlus, Pixel and iPhone can take quick pictures and their image processing power is far superior to compact cameras.
Selfies are also banned, videography is also not allowed in metro premises but you will definitely find people taking pictures. The issue of not allowing camera is very subjective in nature.
People use metro for daily commute. Be it for work or leisure and people may work in the field of photography. So if you won’t allow them to carry their work gadget in a metro, then how do you think will they travel safely or commute to their workplace using public transport?
There has been no such official announcement till now by the government but the public is curious and the majority is objecting to this new LMRC rule.
Recently, in November, after 70 days of operation Lucknow metro had crossed a footfall of 10 lakh people. By 2019, we are expecting the full North-South corridor to become operational. The work is going on in full swing and these issues must be addressed before the corridor becomes operational.
