Sanitation workers engaged in Goa Health Department's COVID-19 teams to be immunized first

Ahead of the roll-out of COVID-19 vaccination in the country on the 16th of January, Goa received 23,500 vaccine doses on Wednesday and the authorities have already earmarked 8 hospitals for the first phase of the immunization process. Further, the Dean of the Goa Medical College stated that sanitation workers who have been a part of the state Health Department's COVID-19 teams, will be the first recipients of the vaccine.

New COVID infections fall below the 100 mark in Goa; zero deaths recorded on Friday

Goa recorded 94 infections on Friday, within the cap of 100 cases, after about 10 days of reporting high tallies. This, along with the shooting number of 124 recoveries, which is much higher than the fresh cases. COVID-19 in Goa: Fresh cases on a steady decline for 4 days in succession!

Goa recorded 144 new cases on Monday, which happens to be the 4th consecutive day of continuous decline in the daily caseload. Besides this, recoveries also continue to rise high over the new infections in the state. Goa currently has 1,884 active cases, where daily statistics have been limited to negative units since the start of November.
