Indore distributes over 12,000 Remdesivir injections across MP to ensure rapid COVID treatment

A large consignment of Remdesivir injections arrived at the Indore Airport on Sunday, carrying about 125 boxes of the COVID treatment drug. This lot collectively made about 12,000 injections available for immediate use. As per the directives of the Chief Minister, the state is undertaking several efforts to ensure that there is an optimum supply of medicines and necessary resources for the treatment of coronavirus infected patients in affected districts. Consequently, the medicine boxes were airlifted from the Indore Airport itself, to ensure immediate availability across other cities.

Indore's coronavirus case tallies breach the 1500-mark for the 4th consecutive day on Friday

The COVID spike in Indore has risen over the 1,500-mark for the 4th consecutive day on Friday, with the addition of 1,679 fresh infections in the last 24 hours. Indore distributes over 9000 Remdesivir vials across MP districts on Thursday

Indore Airport received a 200-box Remdesivir consignment on Thursday, containing as many as 9,264 vials of the COVID treating injection. From this point on, these boxes were rationed across other cities in Madhya Pradesh, to effectively medicate the infected patients there. The state cabinet has also initiated an order of 50,000 more injections, to overcome the severe drug shortage that is being observed across several states in the country.

New COVID care centre to be set up in Indore's Radha Soami Satsang Beas Campus

Alerted by the accelerated spread of COVID infections in the city, Indore district authorities are implementing measures to increase healthcare facilities for the affected individuals. As per the latest reports, the administration has announced that a COVID-19 care centre shall be set up in Radha Soami Satsang Beas ground on Khandwa Road. Planned to be used as a quarantine facility for asymptomatic patients, the centre will be equipped will all basic necessities.

Indore's MGM Medical College gets a stock of 20,000 Remdesivir injections for COVID treatment

The second wave of COVID pandemic has necessitated the requirement of ample medical resources more than ever before. In view of this, Indore received stock of 20,000 Remdesivir injections on Sunday, reportedly, gearing up its fight against the deadly virus. According to reports, 85% of these injections will be sent to medical colleges while 15% will be delivered to the district hospitals from Mahatama Gandhi Memorial Medical College, where they arrived.
