COVID curbs for cinema halls, markets & hotels eased across Indore & other MP districts

Madhya Pradesh administration, in view of the receding COVID cases, has awarded a set of new relaxations, effective today onwards. All markets in Indore and other MP districts will now be permitted to operate till 10 PM, each day. The staggered timings will categorically reduce overcrowding in market areas, especially during closing hours. Besides, cinema halls have been permitted to function at 50% capacity while hotels have received a nod to operate at 100% potential.

ICMR approved & UV-based NeelBhasmi to be used for sanitization at Indore Airport

A surface disinfectant device developed by Raja Mamanna Center for Advanced Technologies (RRTCAT) was handed over to the Indore Airport authorities, on Tuesday. 'NeelBhasmi' is an ICMR approved gadget that will now be used at the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport to disinfect large surfaces and prevent further contamination due to the coronavirus, on a trial basis. Further, it will eliminate the currently in practice manual cleaning, which is tedious, time-consuming and makes use of harmful chemicals.

Indore registers a steep decline in the tally of new infections; curfew to be lifted soon!

The Crisis Management Group conducted a meeting on Sunday, to reflect upon the COVID situation in Indore. The active case tally has dipped down to 1,509 as of 6 June and the recovery ratio has been noted at 97.7 per cent. As per the latest reports, almost 80 per cent of the hospital beds have been vacated, which comes as a sign of huge relief in current times. The situation across the city is showing improvements and in light of these events, it is expected that the curfew will be lifted soon.

Indore launches new drive-in facilities to expedite vaccination of 45+ citizens

In a bid to accelerate the COVID vaccination drive in Indore, the district administration on Tuesday launched the drive-in vaccination facility for people over 45 years of age. People in this category can now get the COVID jabs conveniently, without having to leave their cars or two-wheelers. Managed by the Health Department and the local administration, the service will be available for 6 days a week, from 9 AM to 5 PM, in every Vidhan Sabha. The provision of on-the-spot registration has also ben made available at these places.
