Curfew extended in Goa till September 20 to curb impending 'third wave'

Gearing up to fight against the impending third wave of coronavirus, the ongoing COVID-induced curfew has been reinstated for a week in Goa.The government of Goa has extended the statewide curfew till September 20, which was earlier expected to end on September 13. This curfew was first imposed on May 9 and has since been extended, repeatedly.

New guidelines issued for citizens travelling to Goa from Kerela!

Keeping in mind the rising COVID cases in Kerala, the government of Goa issued fresh guidelines on Sunday for the incoming travellers from the southern state. As per the order, 5-day quarantine is now mandatory for all those who are entering the state, from Kerala. In addition to this, for the incoming students and workers from Kerala, institutional quarantine of 5 days is now obligatory upon arrival in the coastal state.

All eligible citizens in Goa to be fully vaccinated by October 31

The Goa government is aiming to fully vaccinate its eligible population with both doses of the COVID-19 jab by October 31. As of now, the coastal state has already clocked in 100% coverage of the primary vaccine shot. While addressing a gathering at Margao on Tuesday, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant encouraged people to get vax-ed timely and help the state achieve its vision. He also advised the people to take all necessary precautions against the virus spread.
