Lucknow administration ties up with Flipkart to provide free medkits to home-isolated COVID patients

The Lucknow district administration has joined hands with the e-commerce platform, Flipkart, to provide free medicine kits to all COVID patients in home isolation. This step is streamlined with the state's agenda of providing the aforementioned facility across Uttar Pradesh. Besides this, the Chief Minister's helpline and integrated command centres have been directed to maintain regular dialogue and teleconsultation with these patients to prevent unnecessary hospitalisation.

Over 1 crore COVID vaccine jabs ordered for inoculation drives in Lucknow & other UP districts!

Furthering its plans for enhanced and extensive vaccination drives in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government has ordered over one crore COVID-19 vaccine jabs. These doses shall be used to immunise citizens in the state over the age of 18, under the third phase of inoculation, slated for a start on May 1. Work in full swing to establish DRDO's 350-bed COVID facility at Lucknow's Awadh Shilpgram!

The principal construction work of DRDO's provisional COVID facility at Awadh Shilpgram in Lucknow, has started in full swing. This special centre will be housing 350 beds, to meet the rising demands of hospital beds amid the volatile uptick of coronavirus infection in the state capital. The centre is expected to be complete in about 15 days, post which it will shoulder the district's healthcare infrastructure, which is crippling each day due to the overwhelming pressure.

KGMU in Lucknow to continue Trauma Centre operations to deal with emergencies amid COVID surge

Lucknow's King George's Medical University, one of the premiere COVID hospitals in Uttar Pradesh, has decided that its Trauma Centre will continue to work as before while the rest of the facility will be converted into a dedicated COVID hospital. This decision has been taken for the benefit of emergency cases and lack of trauma expertise in the city. Other pioneering institutes, namely PGI and RML, have informed that they do not offer treatment to trauma cases. Reportedly, it has been decided that post patient's stabilisation, they shall be shifted to either of the two institutes for further treatment.

On Friday, 6590+ new infections reported in Lucknow; Govt announces lockdown on Sunday!
