New non-stop bus service launched from Lucknow to help passengers travelling for Chhath

After Diwali, there has been an uptick in passengers travelling to Eastern UP from Lucknow on account of Chhath celebrations. The influx of travellers into the city is also up, as people are returning to their jobs after Diwali. To counteract this increased rush, the Uttar Pradesh Road Transport Corporation, on Monday, launched 60 new non-stop buses that will run between Lucknow and 10 major cities.

Non-stop roadways bus service from Lucknow to 10 major cities to make commute easier

The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation began the service of non-stop roadways buses between Lucknow and ten major cities yesterday. The buses will be travelling to and from Gorakhpur, Delhi, Behraich, Azamgarh, Dehradun, Haridwar, Varanasi, Balrampur and Gonda. This service is being implemented to help with the festive rush and will go on till November 11.

UPSRTC to launch new inter-city Janrath Buses in Lucknow to cater to the festive season rush

The Transport Department in Lucknow is going to run 125 air-conditioned buses on major routes in the city to ease travel during the festive season rush. Known as 'Janrath Buses', these buses will provide a cheaper travel alternative as compared to the high-end luxury Volvo and Scania buses. The buses will connect Lucknow to 6 other cities including- Delhi, Varanasi, Jaipur, Muzaffarpur, Dehradun, and Gorakhpur.
