Efforts to make Kanpur safe and smart have yet again picked up speed. In a bid to boost CCTV surveillance in Kanpur, the municipal corporation and the Police have jointly launched Operation Trinetra.
Increased CCTV cameras; Boosted collaboration with citizen
In this program, the number of CCTV cameras in the city will be increased and the Police will also seek assistance from cameras installed in people’s houses. It is noteworthy that Kanpur has become the second city in UP where this programme has been launched. Operation Trinetra is already underway in Kanpur.
Kanpur Police has also appealed to the businesspersons and prominent citizens of the city to get cameras installed outside their properties. Notably, the focus in this operation is on strong collaboration between the administration and the citizens.
