Ahmedabad Weather: City records minimum temp of 11.8°C on Monday night; chilly week ahead
As winter intensifies across Gujarat, Ahmedabad experienced a chilly night on Monday and a cold start to Tuesday, with the minimum temperature dipping to 11.8°C — 1.8°C below normal. The cold start was followed by a daytime high of 29.6°C, offering a crisp winter day to city residents.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ahmedabad’s minimum temperature is expected to hover near 12°C today and, 13°C until the 21st of December, with a slight increase anticipated thereafter. Clear skies are likely to persist.
Elsewhere in the state, Naliya recorded the lowest temperature at 6.5°C, a sharp 4.6°C below normal. Porbandar and Rajkot also reported significant dips, with minimum temperatures settling at 12.8°C and 10.8°C, respectively. The cool conditions are part of a broader winter trend affecting the region, offering a seasonal chill that many residents find welcome after months of warmer weather!
