Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati Riverfront is set to undergo a major transformation with the development of Riverside Savouries, an upcoming food and entertainment hub between Vivekanand Bridge and Nehru Bridge. The Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Ltd (SRFDCL) has identified a 27,000-square-metre land parcel on the west bank, opposite B.J. Park, for this initiative.
High-end food arcades offering Indian and global cuisines
Covering 7 acres, Riverside Savouries will have premium food arcades offering Indian and global cuisines. Signature restaurants will offer both indoor seating and outdoor terraces, providing diners with picturesque views of the Sabarmati River.
The district will have landscaped open spaces featuring ambient lighting, interactive water installations, and a dedicated amphitheatre that will host cultural events, live performances, and food festivals.
The project to have modern infrastructure and enhanced connectivity
The project will incorporate eco-friendly designs with energy-efficient HVAC systems and advanced lighting solutions. Additionally, the redevelopment of the Riverfront Road between Nehru Bridge and Ellis Bridge will include the construction of a tunnel to facilitate smooth vehicular movement. Basement parking facilities will also be integrated to support the district’s visitors.
SRFDCL aims to create job opportunities and promote local businesses through Riverside Savouries. Improved connectivity to B.J. Park and surrounding areas is expected to attract more visitors, further strengthening Ahmedabad’s status as a prime urban destination.
