Goa saw an increase in active COVID-19 cases, with 156 new cases reported on June 22, bringing the positivity rate to 12.7% and total active cases at 866. This marks the highest single-day spike recorded in the state since February 2022. As per the govt data, there are no COVID-related deaths in the state yet, however, there were six cases of hospitalization.

As the COVID cases start to rise again, it becomes crucial to follow basic COVID norms, whether ordered by the government or not. Time to mask up, maintain social distance, and get fully vaccinated as soon as possible.
