Biggest film festival for children to be organized in Lucknow

Films are often regarded as a mirror to society and usually, the movies and books we read as children shape our formative years. Not only that, as children, films are some of the most interactive forms of entertainment. This year, Lucknow will be host to the biggest children’s film festival in the country. The film festival will take place on April 4, and will be organized at City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar.

The nine day film fest will be organized by CMS. The film fest will not only feature prominent actors, director and artistes from India, but from all over the world. Films from as many as 101 countries will be screened at the festival, making for it one of a kind event.

The films shown to children will also be awarded by a jury of international directors such as Nils Malmros from Denmark, Lali Kiknavelidze from Georgia, Vidyashankar N. Nois and Shyama Prasad and Vinod Ganatra from India. Not only that, the film festival will also be graced by personalities like Anushka Sen, Japtej Singh, Rudra Soni, Aman Siddiqui, Rubal Jain and Darsheel Safary.

The films will be educational, informative and entertaining. Each of them have a message for the children and most of them are rather light hearted films with simple plotlines and easy to follow characters.

With the film festival, the goal is to inform kids about the world of possibilities, showcase limitless imagination and ultimately make them think out of the box. The best film of the festival will also be awarded and will receive a prize of ₹10 lakh.
