The weather in Lucknow has again gotten colder; all thanks to the rains and chilly winds, wavering through the city. According to Met officials, westerly disturbances in the hill areas are responsible for this fresh spell of the cold wave and it is likely to continue for the next four days.

Heavy rains were expected in western Uttar Pradesh and hailstorm was likely, in some districts as well.

Also, a blanket of fog is expected as soon as the rain subsides, which also signals delay in the rail and air routes. According to Skymet, heavy rainfall condition is not only limited to Lucknow; places like Bijnor, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Meerut, Bulandshahr, Shahjahanpur, Ferozabad, Aligarh and Hamirpur are also under the weather.

Knock Knock

Friday in Lucknow is expected to be colder with a partly overcast sky, as well as a temperature of 8 degrees Celsius minimum and 15 degrees Celsius maximum. The week will conclude with a thunderstorm on Saturday so be prepared with raincoats, sweaters and chai of course.

The only folks who are enjoying these weather conditions in the state are clearly the school children. Just a few days back, the winter vacations had been extended due to the high chill in the air and now, we just want a ride back to our childhood.
