Independence Day 2025: Traffic diversions in Lucknow till Aug 15

Lucknow Police have implemented extensive traffic diversions in Hazratganj and nearby areas, for Tiranga Yatra and Independence Day celebrations. The diversions came into effect at 9:30 AM on Wednesday and will continue during till August 15 celebrations. Commuters are advised to use designated alternative routes to avoid congestion.

Key restrictions for 15 August include:

  • Hazratganj to Golf Club Square via Park Road – Closed. Use Papermill to Sikandarbagh Square.

  • Bandariyabagh to 1090 Crossings – Complete ban on movement.

  • Samajik Parivartan Sthal Dhal (Gomtinagar/Ambedkar Udyan Square to 1090 Square) – Closed. Use Taj Underpass–Samta Mulak–Barrage Road or RR Bandha.

  • Dalibag to Jiyamau Mode – Closed. Alternative via Sikandarbagh Chauraha.

  • SN Bridge/Kataipul to Golf Club Square – Diverted via Lal Batti Square, Annexe, Sisendi, and Royal Hotel.

Additional restrictions in Hazratganj & nearby areas

  • City Station to Balrampur Dhal/Charbati Chauraha via Golaganj Tiraha – Closed. Use Indira Gandhi Nakshatrashala–Daliganj Bridge.

  • Residency Tiraha (Shaheed Smarak) to Golaganj/Kaiserbagh Bus Stand – Closed. Use Chakbast Chauraha.

  • Aminabad (Guin Road Chauraha) to Kaiserbagh Bus Stand – Blocked. Use Nazirabad.

  • CDRI–Telephone Exchange to Kaiserbagh Bus Adda – Closed. Use Parivartan Chowk, Subhash Chauraha, Maqbara Road, Baradari.

  • Cantt Road, BN Road, Latouch Road to Kaiserbagh Bus Adda – Closed. Use Nazirabad and Baradari.

  • Balrampur Dhal (CMO Office) to Balrampur Hospital or Chakbast Chauraha – Closed. Use Shaheed Smarak–Daliganj Bridge–Nadwa Bandha Road.

  • Clark Avadh Tiraha to CDRI/Shaheed Smarak/Health Bhawan – Closed. Use Subhash Chauraha, Hanuman Setu, Nadwa Bandha Road.

  • Kaiserbagh Bus Adda to Collectorate/Telephone Exchange/CDRI – Closed. Use Ashok Lat and Parivartan Chowk.

  • Chowk to Shaheed Smarak or CDRI via Daliganj Chauraha – Closed. Use Daliganj Bridge, Nakshatrashala, Nadwa Bandha Road.
