Firefighters in the state will soon be able to avert tragedies that are relatively more challenging with plans underway to include water drones in the UP fire dept armoury. With the new water drones, the firefighters will be able to douse fires in areas that are inaccessible for fire tenders.

A trial of the said water drones was conducted in Lucknow's Hazratganj and the fire department officials say that the drones, although effective, still need some modifications to work at their full potential.

Once the necessary changes are made, the fire department's water drones will become immensely effective in dousing fires in narrow lanes and multi-storeyed buildings, that are usually inaccessible for firefighters.
