Lucknow's new Super Speciality Cancer Institute to begin operations from 20th February

Cancer is a disease that not only breaks the body, but also the spirit. Millions of families suffer from the repercussions of a close one suffering from the incurable and life-threatening disease. Though cancer may be one of the most tough thing to come back from and survive, early detection and proper treatment can allow patients to live full and productive lives.

Which is why we are ecstatic about the news that a new Super Speciality Cancer Institute will soon be open in Lucknow to make lives less complicated for cancer patients in the city.

What's the update?

A new Super Speciality Cancer Institute will open its doors to the city of Lucknow very soon. The authorities have directed, the institute located near Chak Ganjaria (CG City) in Lucknow to be operational by 20th February. This institute will prove to be a pivotal step in providing the cancer patients in Lucknow with the best care possible.

The new Cancer Institute will set itself as the only place in North India to offer 'organ based cancer treatment'.

According to a recent report by Dainik Jagran, in the first phase of its operations the institute will open OPDs, day care, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, radiology, pathology, pharmacy and emergency services. The staff, doctors and other services will be brought in shortly.

The hospital is expected to work at PGI standards with 56 beds and 3 operation theatres, though no major operations will take place during the initial stages. The institute is projected to have over a thousand beds and several buildings which will be developed in two stages.

The cancer institute will bring relief to not only the cancer patients in the city but also their families who have had to seek medical services outside the city until now. The institute is another step towards giving people a chance at life by providing top-notch healthcare facilities & comes as a major sigh of relief for those living in Lucknow and nearby areas.
