Witnessing the sudden spurt in COVID infection across Uttar Pradesh, the state administration had shut down schools till January 16. As per the directives issued by the administration earlier this week, schools had the option to continue with online classes during this period.

While the Anganwadi schools are also closed in line with the orders, food and ration will be distributed from the school campus like before. Apart from this, the vaccination drive of students aged between 15-18 will also continue in all the schools across the state. Notably, more than 24,25,299 beneficiaries belonging to this age group have received at least a single dose of vaccine in Uttar Pradesh, as of January 10.
