Milind started developing this drone, the moment he came in terms with the news of the first case of COVID-19 in India, way back in January this year. This indigenous ‘sanitiser drone’ is a one-of-a-kind concept of ‘aerial disinfectant spray technology’ and it is equipped with a good lifting capacity.
“I was well prepared with ideas that could help in fighting Coronavirus in India. China says that a ‘drone spray’ is 50 times more effective than a manual spray; a ‘drone spray’ is fast, reliable and automated. The idea behind developing such a done mechanism is to bring a new concept of social distancing through technology. With this ‘drone spray’, a human can operate this flying robot for kilometers while keeping himself at a safe distance. Right now, I am also developing low-cost ventilators and other PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), such as masks”, Milind stated.

He further added, “As per internet reports, COVID-19 virus can sustain upto 72 hours on surfaces like steel (metal), plastic and glass/glossy surface. So any vehicle is a good medium of transmission of this virus. Milind had always been highly fascinated with technology and science since his childhood and after years of rigorous toil, he stands where he is today. “In December 2014, I met our 11th President of India, His Excellency Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. During this meet, I showcased my 100% Indian drone to Dr. Kalam and he was very impressed- that’s how I received the title of ‘Drone Man of India’ by him,” Raj added.
On the 21st of February, 2018, at one of India’s biggest Investors Summit in Lucknow, Milind’s ‘Intelligent Humanoid Robot’ had also greeted the President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, UP’s CM Yogi Adityanath and other honourable ministers present there.
“I also founded a tech company called as Mondatech and as a CEO of this venture, I have been constantly churning out efforts to build top-notch Indian technology and robots, to serve our people and the Nation in its entirety. As a passionate tech lover, I have worked on several projects and built exclusive technologies like Automated Robotics, Artificial Intelligent, Flying Robots, Amphibian Robots, Humanoids, Defense Robots, Policing Robots, Flying Ambulance Technology, Automated Agriculture Robots, Underwater Robots and much more.”
On top of all of these achievements, Milind Raj has been featured by BBC London, Jukin Media USA, The Verge USA, RTM TV USA, Business Insider (America), Being Indian Media Company, The Standard (UK), for his world-class tech Innovations in life-saving technology and Flying Rescue Systems. A special episode was also made in Tokyo, based on his techs.
Well, that’s not all! Milind Raj also teaches kids, especially the ones stemming from underprivileged backgrounds and he doesn’t charge a penny for any of it. He believes in free education and through such an initiative, he aspires to transform the personality of his pupils. He has several children under him who had never held a pencil in their lifetime yet now with a bit of assistance, these kids today are able to write in English.

Previously in 2018, Milind had also built a drone to rescue a stranded puppy from a 20-feet drain in the middle of a road in Lucknow and he had won hearts everywhere because of this unique solution!
So during such testing times of a pandemic outbreak when even a little bit of effort can go a long way, we are truly applauding this sagacious endeavor of Milind Raj who has managed to make us all proud and how! Other states like Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu have already started using drones to spray disinfectants on roads and vehicles, in a bid to omit the virus.
