Skywalk linking Badshahnagar Railway Station with Metro Station, now under Construction

This will be the city’s second such structure, following the skywalk between Lucknow Junction and Durgapuri Metro Station.

Work has finally started on the long-planned skywalk linking Badshahnagar Railway Station with the Badshahnagar Metro Station. Excavation for the foundation is underway on Platform No. 1, with completion targeted for December next year. The project, has now moved to execution after a long delay. The North Eastern Railway is constructing the skywalk to offer a seamless connection for passengers.

  • Width: 5 metres

  • Cost: ₹6.3 crore

  • Access: Lift and stairs leading directly to Platform No. 1

Backed under Amrit Bharat Scheme

The initiative follows last year’s approval to upgrade Badshahnagar Railway Station under the Amrit Bharat Scheme. A proposal was submitted to the Railway Board, which has now sanctioned the project along with the required budget.
