Every Navratri, Lucknow’s two-left-feet club gets the same job, guarding bags, phones and someone’s dupatta while the garba circle spins. Colors of Joy offers a promotion. Clay and colouring, dhanuchi and dandiya decoration, pathachitra coasters, soop decoration, dhanush making, pouch painting and more, all hands-on and none requiring rhythm.

This exhibition lines up art, culture and food stalls together, so your quiet gallery stroll has a very real chance of ending in a plate of something delicious. It’s a celebration of the city’s creative side and its appetite, which, in Lucknow, have always been the same thing. Come hungry, the art can wait, but the stalls won’t.

Every Lucknow wardrobe has the same problem: forty sarees, and “nothing to wear.” The National Silk Expo isn’t here to fix that. It’s here to make it worse, in the best way. Weavers bring pure silk and cotton sarees straight to you: Banarasi, Kanjivaram, Chanderi and more, along with kurtis, dress materials, dupattas, home furnishings and jewellery.

You’ve been told your whole life to handle things carefully. At the Japanese Kintsugi Workshop in Lucknow, the broken piece is the starting point. You’ll learn to join the cracks with gold and turn a “write-off” into something worth displaying. It’s quiet, patient work, and oddly satisfying for anyone who has ever sighed over a shattered cup.

Every friend group has one person who “doesn’t really like standup” and then laughs hardest. Himanshu Dixit is live in Lucknow, and that person is about to be exposed.
