Four new coronavirus cases and zero fatalities reported in Mumbai by BMC

According to the data released by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), four new COVID-19 cases were reported in Mumbai on January 8. The total number of active coronavirus cases in Mumbai is now 29. No fatalities have been reported either.

COVID-19 update in Mumbai and Maharastra 

On the bright side, BMC reported that four patients have covered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. However, the city is still nursing 29 active coronavirus cases.

According to the data, Mumbai's overall growth rate of cases between January 1 and January 7 was 0.0003% and the recovery rate stood at 98.3%.

Meanwhile, Maharastra recorded 20 fresh cases of COVID-19 on January 8, taking the state tally of infections so far 81,36,811. With 32 patients recovering during the day, the count of recoveries reached 79,88,268, while the death toll remained unchanged at 1,48,418.
