Mumbai One app integrates metro, rail, and bus networks

The Mumbai One App is a unified mobile application designed to create a seamless public transport experience across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Its core function is to allow commuters to book a single digital ticket that is valid for travel on metros, monorail, buses, and suburban trains. This eliminates the need for multiple tickets and cash, simplifying the entire journey planning and payment process through one integrated, digital platform.

  • Key Features:

    • Plan multimodal journeys with real-time info.

    • QR-based, cashless, and contactless payments.

    • Access to emergency support, a city guide, and location sharing.

    • Trilingual interface (Marathi, Hindi, English).

  • Coverage: Integrates 11 transport services, including key Metro lines, railways, and major bus operators (BEST, TMT, NMMT, etc.).

  • Cost: No extra user fees; all incidental costs are borne by the MMRDA.

  • Scale: Built on secure Google Cloud, capable of handling 50 lakh (5 million) transactions daily.

The launch coincided with the inauguration of Mumbai Metro Line-3 and Navi Mumbai International Airport, signalling a transformative leap in India's urban mobility infrastructure.
