Following the launch of its debut showroom in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) last month, Tesla has announced it will inaugurate India's first Supercharger station in BKC on August 4. This station will feature four V4 Supercharging stalls offering a peak charging speed of 250 kW, priced at ₹24 per kWh, alongside four Destination Charging stalls providing 11 kW at ₹14 per kWh.

This marks the beginning of Tesla's ambitious plan to set up eight Supercharging stations in India, including more locations in Mumbai and Delhi, to enhance the cross-country EV experience.

267 km in 15 minutes now possible!

The new charging station is expected to offer significant convenience for Tesla owners. With a quick 15-minute charge, the Model Y can gain up to 267 kilometres of range, which is enough for five return trips between Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and the Gateway of India. Additionally, Tesla will provide a free wall connector with every car purchase, allowing customers to charge their vehicles at home.

This launch follows Tesla’s entry into the Indian market with the Model Y, a mid-size electric SUV, priced from ₹59.89 lakh, which also debuted at the company’s first showroom in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex.
