YAI Senior National Sailing Championships 2023 slated to start from Sep 20 in Mumbai

The Yachting Association of India (YAI) has announced the much-anticipated return of the annual Senior National Sailing Championship. This tournament is set to unfold between September 20 to 26 in Mumbai.

Among a diverse roster of participants, 15 women athletes from different states including Assam, Orissa, Goa, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra will be partaking in the championship. Furthermore, the racing competitions are slated to kick off on September 22, across all classes, which will be organised at the Army Yachting Node.

YAI Championship to include a mix of different category events

The Senior Sailing Championship tournament is being jointly hosted by the Mumbai-based Army Yachting Node and the Indian Naval Watermanship Training Centre, under the Yachting Association of India's supervision.

Additionally, this championship will have more than a hundred athletes participating in ten different events, including ILCA 7 (Men), ILCA 6 (Women), 49er (Men), 470 (mixed), NACRA 17 (mixed), RS:X (Men), RS:X (Women), IQ Foil (Men), iQFoil (Women) and Formula Kite (Men).
