After a year long wait, it is time to burn the Ravan effigy once again, on 19th October. This year, it will also mark the Golden Jubilee of the Dussehra Maidan being used for this purpose. The ravan effigy will be 111 ft in height, which makes it a must visit place to be in Indore.

The event will signify the victory of good over evil once again and mark a momentous event for the auspicious Maidan. It will be a landmark event for the people of Indore- especially those who have seen the city bloom. Ravan Dahen will begin at 7 PM and preceding that, there will be a celebratory procession passing from Mahu Naka to the Maidan to mark the same occasion. It will be attended by hundreds of people- to mark the two special occasions Dussehra and the Golden Jubilee.
