Indore’s recovery rate exceeds improves significantly with a single case recorded on Friday!

Indore residents heaved a sigh of relief as a single case was logged in the city on Tuesday. As per reports, the positivity rate for Indore has dwindled to 0.01% while the recovery rate climbed up significantly stepping ahead of the 99% mark recently. Reportedly, more than 8,900 tests were conducted under the supervision of the administration on Thursday.

After the infection tallies peaked during April-May throughout the country, the situation in Indore has diffused considerably with the retiring effects of the second wave. Notably, not a single death has been recorded in Indore since the 1st of July and the active tally stands at a controlled count of 131 patients now. Further reports state that most of these infected individuals are under home isolation and the burden of medical infrastructure has also relaxed.

Cumulatively, 1,52,932 citizens have been affected by the virus in Indore and 1,391 deaths have been recorded till now. In terms of total infections and fatalities, Indore is the hardest hit district in Madhya Pradesh. On the positive side, 1,51,410 patients have recovered in the city and now, the authorities have amplified efforts for tackling the expected third wave.

In a bid to fuel the inoculation program in Indore, vaccinations are being conducted across private, public and other facilities including the drive-in centres. Besides, the mega vaccination campaign started in the last 10 days of June played an important role in propelling the count of beneficiaries. As of now, 27,67,677 doses of the immunity booster vaccine have been administered to the citizens in Indore and it is anticipated that a notable chunk of the city population will stand immunised soon.
