Bringing good news for travel bugs in Indore and across, the Madhya Pradesh Railway Division has decided to resume the services of its famous Paataalpaani-Kalakund Heritage Train. As per reports, the services of this rail were suspended in March earlier this year due to oppressive weather and low bookings. The reservations are expected to rise with pleasant monsoon spell now, reviving the Heritage train for all.
Running from Dr. Ambedkar Nagar in Mhow to Kalakund, this rail service tracks a one-of-a-kind travel adventure for nature enthusiasts amidst the enchanting beauty of Vindhyachal mountain ranges. Read further to know the schedule and route: f the train.
Mhow-Patalpani-Kalakund, Heritage Train
The passenger, heritage train halts at major attraction points en route, including the divine Patalpani falls, mapping through Choral and Kalakund too. The 15 km journey, passes through several tunnels and 29 sharp curves, offering spectacular views of MP’s natural bouties, making the journey an experience for a lifetime for the travellers.
This Heritage Train is a meter-gauge passenger train operating with Train no. 52965/66, running daily. It comprises two vista dome AC-coaches with glass rooftops and wide window panes, and three non-AC coaches, with a total seating capacity of 120 passengers. The train fare is ₹265 for an AC coach seat and ₹20 for a non-AC coach seat.
The coach and power car of this train have been sent to the depot for maintenance. Post approval from railway board, the train will be re-starting from July 10th, read reports.

• Train no. 52965 departs from Dr Ambedkar Nagar at 11:05 AM and arrives at Kalakund station at 01:05 PM.
• Train no. 52966 departs from Kalakund station at 3:35 PM and arrives at Dr Ambedkar Nagar station at 04:30 PM.
