A total of 2,196 students have registered for Indore’s Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyala’s (DAVV) Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) 2021-2022 till Wednesday evening. The registrations portal was opened three weeks ago for this academic year. Compared to the exams held in the past year, the number of registration has fallen significantly. The exam is being conducted after a period of three years.

Aspiring students can register for DET via online mode until March 5. Late registrations will remain open until March 12 for which students will have to pay an additional fee of ₹1,000. Based on the current status of registrations, a total of 1,165 seats are still available for interested and eligible candidates.
The university has decided to add about 12 more subjects to the programme. The new subjects will include Hindi, English, Dance, Music, Yoga, History, Law, etc, resulting in a possible increase in the number of seats available in the next few days. The test is scheduled for March 26 in offline pen and paper mode for which the venues will be several exam centres under the University Teaching Departments (UTD).

The one-time registration fee for the test is set at ₹6000. The detailed fee structure for the doctoral programme is provided above. Candidates who have cleared NET for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in 2019 will be able to appear for the PhD seats directly through Research Advisory Committee (RAC) without having to take DET.
