Travellers seeking direct flights from Indore to Rajkot & Surat can rejoice as IndiGo has announced the launch of direct flights.
This is a significant development as Indore was previously only connected to Ahmedabad, the capital of Gujarat. The expansion of air connections to these cities is expected to significantly improve travel options for both tourists and businesspersons. The announcement was made by TK Jose, President of the MP Chapter of the Travel Agents’ Federation of India (TAFI).
Currently, there are 30 flights operating from Indore to various destinations such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Raipur, Goa, Udaipur, Shirdi, and Nashik, among others. It’s possible that additional flights will be introduced in the near future. Hemendra Singh Jadaun, the chairman of the Travel Agent Association, mentioned that there has been a persistent request for flights connecting Indore to Surat and Rajkot.
The flight schedule details
IndiGo had previously operated flights between Indore and Surat, which were temporarily suspended a few years ago. However, recently, the airline has resumed ticket booking, with the inaugural flight for Rajkot departing on Monday morning at 6.37 am, with more than 40 passengers on board, and the Surat flight also began, later that evening. These daily flights will be operated using a 72-seater ATR aircraft, ensuring convenient and regular connections between the city and these two key destinations in Gujarat.
Here are the flight schedule details:

Departing from Indore, Flight 6E-7436 to Rajkot will take off at 6.30 am, arriving in Rajkot at 8.20 am.

Departing from Rajkot, Flight 74357 to Indore will leave at 11.55 am and arrive in the city at 2 pm.

Departing from Indore, Flight 6E-7433 to Surat will take off at 2.25 pm and reach Surat at 3.50 pm.
