In a new set of guidelines issued by the Rajasthan Home Department on Monday, market timings in Jaipur and other districts have been staggered till 4 PM. This welcoming respite has been awarded under the umbrella of the Unlock-2 order, which shall be implemented from Tuesday, June 8. The daily curfew will now stretch for only 12 hours, starting from 5 PM to 5 AM, on the following day. Earlier, these restrictions were imposed from 12 noon, statewide.
Private vehicles can ply across inter-state routes from 5 AM to 5 PM
Amid the weakening force of the coronavirus infection, the state of Rajasthan has awarded certain relaxations across the territory to restore normalcy here. As per reports, the state has relaxed the curfew hours here to open markets, 5 days a week, from Monday to Friday. However, AC complexes and malls have not been relaxed and will continue with the shutdown. It may be noted that the weekend curfew is still in order, curtailing all activities, opening of markets as well as shops on Saturday and Sunday.
For commute, private vehicles have been permitted to ply on inter-state routes from 5 AM to 5 PM. The state guidelines highlighted that other private and roadway buses will commence services from June 10, with 50% occupancy. City buses, however, shall continue to remain suspended for the time being.
All marriage ceremonies will also remain restricted across Rajasthan, except marriages in court or at home. The guest list here should also not exceed over the count of 11, the guidelines detailed.
As already protocoled, private and government schools have been permitted to reopen with 50% staff, however, students are not permitted to be on-premises as of now. The similar staff strength of 50% employees has been ordained for public officers across the state. These government offices will also work till 4 PM only. All places of worship will also remain closed.
