In an attempt to amplify the available resources, an IIT Kanpur alumnus has developed a lightweight and portable oxygen can called ‘Oxyrise’, which can be easily carried, just like a sanitiser. Developed by Dr. Sandip Patil of E-spin Nanotech Private Limited, the small cans have the capacity of storing 10 litres of oxygen, reportedly.

As per reports, the oxygen shots from the can be immediately given to the patient when his/her condition deteriorates. Offering quick and temporary relief, these cans can help in providing some time so that the individual can be taken to the hospital. Priced at ₹499, the cans are available for purchase on an online platform. Reportedly, this portable device can work as a boon amid emergency situations.
As per reports, the company is undertaking initiatives for the production of 1,000 bottles on a daily basis, currently. Reports state that these devices contain a specific tool for the administration of oxygen to the patients. Reportedly, the cans weigh 300 grams and each device is capable of administering a total of 100 shots. As per reports, Dr. Patil has been involved in the production of a five-layered mask too.
