What are the main attractions of National Chambal Sanctuary?

In addition to that, approximately 330 species of birds also frequent this pristine sanctuary. If you’re in luck, you might also spot colonies of the Indian Skimmers nesting within the sanctuary.
The graceful Flamingo and the Rudy Shelduck also stay at the sanctuary between September and May. How to reach National Chambal Sanctuary?
The quickest way to reach the National Chambal Sanctuary from Kanpur is to take a train to Etawah and a cab from thereon to your accommodation near the sanctuary. This will take you around two and a half hours to reach your destination and cost you somewhere between ₹900 to ₹1,800.
If you wish to take your own vehicle, you can easily reach the NCS in 3 to 4 hours, which will cost you around ₹3,000 to ₹4,000.
A day here is enough for you to explore the vibrant wildlife and fabulous natural beauty of the sanctuary, but you can definitely stay on for longer. And in order to witness the best of wildlife activity at the place, you should visit between November and March.
