The corona pandemic has been plaguing our lives for weeks now and the daily news updates about the number of victims and deaths are nothing but depressing. But in the recent times, the officials stats pertaining to COVID-19 cases in Lucknow is bringing us specks of hope. On the 10th of May, 16 patients in Lucknow were cured of the virus and discharged, which has also brought the number of active cases down to 53 from 69. At the moment, Uttar Pradesh has almost 3,500 confirmed corona cases and there are over 1500 recovered patients till date.

The medical professionals and other authorities in Lucknow have displayed exceptional efforts in flattening the curve, which has led to the decreasing number of active cases in the city to increasing number of recoveries. Till date, Lucknow has had total number of 250 COVID-19 cases and 196 discharged patients. The city has a single demise in its record and the number of active cases stands at 53. The state government is also hosting regular pool tests and convalescent plasma therapy in order to help the citizens and the corona victims.
As per the directives of the Chief Minister, the Medical Education Department has also curated a ‘mentor institute system’ for doctors, which they can use to seek guidance from doctors affiliated to other institutes in the state for treating COVID-19 patients.
