Amid the rapid increase in the number of Coronavirus cases in UP’s state capital, Lucknow, the Chief Minister had a meeting with the chief officers of district administration and health. With 399 cases reported in the city on Sunday, highest ever in the city, Lucknow has recorded the highest number of cases in the state for the 9th consecutive day taking number of active cases to 2509 in the city.

The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh conducted a meeting at his residence on Sunday to control the spread of Coronavirus in the city for which he directed both, the health department and local administration to avoid any negligence at all costs. He further said that duty towards mankind is primary in the current scenario of a global pandemic, a situation which has no room for errors.
The Chief Minister instructed to make sure that contact tracing is set up to stop the spread of Coronavirus at the district level in Lucknow and warned the officials to conduct the door to door service without any laxity.

The Director of SGPGI was asked to hold a meeting with the chief medical authorities at Bhaibandhu and Civil and RML to set up a standard operating procedure, the enforcement of which needs to be overlooked by the administration. Weekly meetings between the district administration and IMO along with the Nursing Association are to be conducted.
The execution of a comprehensive and efficient sanitation drive during the weekend lockdown was further underlined. He also told the administration to provide no relaxations to the city containment zones. All Government offices need to have Covid-19 help desks now.
Knock Knock
While new set of instructions were given to the health sector to control the transmission of the coronavirus in the city, the responsibility of their execution has been entrusted with the local and state administration. In the middle of all this, Lucknowites are requested to comply with the procedures and protocols to ensure a quick recovery.
