Till date Uttar Pradesh has reported 4,27,459 covid cases and the tally of active cases in the state is marked at 42,552. 3,78,662 covid victims have successfully battled the virus yet 6,245 have lost their lives due to it. The capital city on the other hand, has reported 56,656 confirmed corona patients and 755 expiries have been observed so far. On the lines of recuperation, Lucknow has 50,412 patients in its account, who have recovered from the disease and in the last 24 hours, 458 citizens have gone back home.
Lucknow stands as the worst-hit city in Uttar Pradesh
Within 24 hours, 406 corona patients have been detected and 8 deaths have been listed down, in Lucknow. According to data, 30% of the patients are in hospitals and home isolation. Amidst the ongoing pandemic, the only speck of relief which has been found is that the number of recoveries is higher than the number of patients who have been infected for over 2 weeks now.
But it is to be noted that although the tally of cases is slowly descending, the severity of the situation and the disease, is nothing less than grave. Gomti Nagar is still a major hotspot in the city with over 35 cases reported within a day’s time and it is being followed by Raibareli Road and Indira Nagar. According to reports, the city administration has been rapidly conducting covid tests in Lucknow, which is one of the major causes of decline in the number of positive cases. On the 4th of October, approximately 1.50 lakh tests were conducted in the state.
