The tale of this treasure begins in 1956 when Prakash Chandra Arora started out an ambitious venture through a small kulfi stall in Aminabad Park. Intrigued by the unexampled taste enveloped amid succulent kulfis, residents from all over Aminabad slowly started flocking to the new joint. While the sales remained low in the beginning, the stall gradually grew bigger acquiring widespread recognition in the market and a large number of patrons.
With multiplying sales and increasing profits, the stall soon transformed into a shop at the Aminabad Chauraha. As per the owners, way back in the mid-’70s, the kulfis were priced at ₹1, which was reduced by half in the monsoons. Slowly, the news of people falling in love with these decadent kulfis spread across the town and people labelled the nearby crossing as Prakash Kulfi Chauraha in 1987. Seeking its motivation from expanding demands and augmented reach, the shop evolved into a two-storeyed establishment with ample seating arrangements, which continues to exist.

Prakash Kulfi has risen to prominence through an array of its endeavours, including the launch of sugar-free kulfis for diabetic individuals. In 2014, the joint delighted its customers by introducing a range of tempting options besides the traditional one.
