If we have to put a name on the flame which has ignited a frenzy in us, pertaining to Bollywood movies, it’d surely be our kween Deepika Padukone. With hits like Padmaavat, YJHD, Om Shanti Om, Bajirao Mastani, Ram-Leela, ‘Dips’ has been winning our hearts with every release.
Padukone is yet again, all set to deliver another brilliant performance (the trailer looks promising) with her upcoming movie, Chhapaak, helmed by Meghna Gulzar. For the promotions of the film, Deepika will be flying down to Lucknow on her 34th birthday to celebrate with the acid attack survivors in the city.

Deepika has been busy with the promotions of Chhapaak, all over India and now, on the 5th of January, she’ll be here in Lucknow during the day to celebrate her birthday.
So to start her 34th year on a special note, Deepika will be seen at Sheroes Hangout, wherein she will be conversing with acid-attack survivors and lend them a listening ear too. Later, she’ll be flying to Delhi, to continue with the film publicity.

In the film, Deepika will be seen portraying the character of Laxmi Agarwal, an acid attack survivor who speaks for the rights of acid attack victims. Her character Malti will be seen alongside the boy-next-door, Vikrant Massey, who is also one of our favourites.
Chhapaak is also Deepika’s first initiative as a producer and we know it for a fact, that this film is gonna be another one of big releases! The trailer has us excited and we can’t wait to be there in the halls, on the first day itself.

Chhapaak is clearly one of the most-awaited films of this year and it will be releasing alongside Om Raut’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Co-starring Ajay Devgn, Kajol and Saif Ali Khan, this period drama is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare.
Apart from this, Deepika will also be spotted sharing screen space with hubby Ranveer Singh in Kabir Khan’s ’83. It is a sports drama which will be bringing this couple together on-screen, for the first time post-marriage!
