After featuring in films like Game, Kaanchi, Dishoom and so on, Akash Dhar has been an unstoppable force propelling in the Bollywood film industry! Having been trained at Whistling Woods International by Naseeruddin Shah, he attributes his growth as an actor to him. Akash has been involved in theatre in between his projects which further helped him in polishing his acting skills. He was under the appreciation radar by the critics for the negative lead in a film titled Bankster in the festival circuits directed by Azaan Khan and produced by Zeenat Aman, which speaks volumes about his aptitude for acting!
His latest film titled Photograph released early this year directed by Ritesh Batra and there is another Indie film that he is a part of titled Chitrakut, which is doing festival rounds directed by Himanshu Malik!

Upcoming Projects!
He has a string of films lined up to be released and we are keeping a watch for sure. Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas directed by Sunny Deol is one of the major upcoming films where he plays the negative lead and there are two back to back films with Dharma Productions which are on the cards for him!
One of them is an untitled horror film directed by debutante director Bhanu Pratap Singh, as a second lead and the another Dharma film directed by debutante director Sharan Sharma for which he is currently shooting in Lucknow.

“Its been a long and fruitful journey so far. I am lucky to have worked with so many different directors and getting to essay different characters. This is the best time to be an actor with some content driven films being made and also with the internet opening up avenues for some amazing stuff in the form of web films and web series. I am really excited about it all- the journey and the destination.
I would love to get an opportunity to work with directors like Shoojit Sircar, Raju Hirani, Karan Johar, Vishal Bharadwaj , Shashank Khaitan and many more- the list is long. I also look forward to working again with the directors that I have already worked with and also with the upcoming directors who’re churning out amazing content and roles that excite me. I am really looking forward to do a lead and to portray impactful roles! I just wanna be on a roll!”
