In the spirit of the season, Uttar Pradesh Government has extended the operating hours of liquor stores in Lucknow. This December, on 24, 25, and 31, all retail liquor outlets will stay open until 11 PM. An extra hour to stock up on your festive favourites!

The decision, made by the Excise Department, aims to meet the increased demand for alcohol during Christmas and New Year celebrations. Mahendra Pratap Singh, District Excise Officer, confirmed the new timings, clarifying that this extension is a special treat for the holiday season. However, this festive tweak seems to be a part of the state’s larger strategy to boost revenue, said reports.
