From this academic session, UP government will provide special training to back-to-school dropouts, who have been re-admitted to schools in UP. The initiative is an attempt by the government to help dropouts make up for lost ground and become at par with their classmates in age-appropriate classes.
It is noteworthy that this initiative will benefit over 2 lakh OOSC (Out of school children) in UP. The special training programme for such children will go on for nine months, starting July 1. Furthermore, each school has been designated a nodal officer, who will oversee the training.
In addition to that, a quarterly periodic assessment will also be conducted for the re-admitted children. And before that training commences, an initial evaluation of the re-admitted children will be conducted to determine the level of training they require.
