With an objective to deter people from crowding around the Lucknow Aiport premises, the authorities in charge have intervened with provisions for a heightened fine amount. As per reports, a fine of up to ₹1,000 will be levied on the defaulters, whose actions lead to jams or a ruckus outside the airport. In Addition to this, the parking charges for stationing vehicles in the complex of Lucknow Metro have also been re-evaluated.
₹1,000 fine for 4-wheelers; ₹500 for 2-wheelers
It is expected that the increased fine amounts will demotivate the vehicle drivers from undertaking unjustified actions. As a part of the newly announced slabs, a four-wheeler owner will have to bear a fine of ₹1000 for causing a jam while a person having a two-wheeler will be charged ₹500 for the same activity. This plan has been promulgated in order to reduce the possibilities of traffic congestion at the Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport.
Free parking for private vehicles for the first 10 minutes
As per reports, the Lucknow Aiport authorities have also revised the parking fee structure. According to the new rules, a sum of ₹90 has been set for commercial vehicles for a period of the first 30 minutes. If a privately-owned vehicle is parked, no fee will be charged for the first 10 minutes while the same amount of ₹90 will be applicable thereafter. In case the parking time extends over 30 minutes, the parking fee will be increased.
