In a bid to ensure that there are no altercations between bus conductors and passengers, with respect to ticket fares, the UPSRTC has decided to streamline cashless daily travel. The Transport Corporation is working towards implementing a new bus ticketing system in the state to make way for hassle-free commute for all.

As per reports, the UPSRTC has joined hands with the Orion Pro Transit Solution Mumbai and made arrangements for 2200 Android ticketing machines for the same. Managing Director RP Singh and Additional Managing Director Sarneet Kaur Broka have sent designated teams to set up and upgrade the ticketing system here.

Passengers travelling on the Lucknow-Ghaziabad route will be able to enjoy the ease of cashless ticket booking, from February 22. Notably, conventional cash bookings will also be available for all those who do not have digital wallets or ATM cards. Travellers can also expect smart card provisions soon. These can be charged once and be used for daily, cashless travel in state transport buses.
