As per recent developments, the institute has now received a new air purification system. Donated by Pulmocare Medical System and Kerala Samajam, the latest addition to the complex will help in upgrading the levels of air quality and ameliorate the hospital’s ecosystem.

It has been stated that the new installation will aid in the reduction of bacteria present in the atmosphere. Driven by this, the air quality is expected to be enhanced. Director of Pulmocare Medical System RR Krishnan and President of Kerala Samajam Jansen James handed over the air purification system to the KGMU covid ward in-charge, Dr. JD Ravat. The vice-chancellor of the medical university, Dr. Vipin Puri was also present at the event.

During the past two months, KGMU has been an important centre for dealing with patients of the COVID virus and black fungus. With state-of-the-art facilities and a well-trained team of doctors, a significant count of lives were saved at the hospital. Besides Lucknow, patients from the other cities of the state also travelled to the institute for seeking its top-notch services.
Along with this, a number of other remarkable achievements were also marked at the hospital during the tough times. While the staff helped in the successful treatment of a number of severe black fungus patients, a COVID-infected pregnant with a rare disorder delivered a healthy baby at the centre.
