Every Lakhnavi can relate to the feeling of winters setting in while they visit the Lucknow Mahotsav during November end or early December every year.
The true ambience of Awadh can be felt pulsating through the crowds here as it is one of the most prominent events in Lucknow.
Over the years, Lucknow Mahotsav has attained unparalleled heights of fame and excellence in art, craft and culture over the years and it is one of the most awaited and celebrated carnivals for the citizens!

This year the ticket prices have been increased to ₹20 (available at the entrance) and the Lucknow Municipal Corporation is taking extra steps to maintain top-notch cleanliness so they have arranged for bio-toilets as well. For further assistance, they will house a police outpost office and 6 fire stations! Around 100 buses will be arranged by the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transportation Corporation for the ease of commuters! The authorities have also arranged for free WiFi for the first time so now it’ll be easier for all to send out live updates on their social media!
The authorities are also planning to keep our former PM, Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee in remembrance so they have designed a selfie facility where visitors can take selfies with his paper cutouts! This facility will be put up at Atal Gram inside the grounds. They have also planned an ‘Atal Gallery’ which would showcase pictures of the former Prime Minister and a book stall is also being organised to sell his books. His speeches will also be relayed through various screens all over the venue.

This year, Lucknow Mahotsav is back again and it will be organized from November 25 to December 5 at Smriti Upvan, Bangla Bazaar, Aashiyana, Lucknow. The event is eagerly awaited by the citizens every year as this carnival offers handicrafts from different states, delicious street foods, joyrides and ethnically robust mehfils and this fair generates pocket-friendly shopping options for the masses.
