The inauguration of the Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway, which was supposed to take place on April 29, i.e. this Wednesday, has been stalled yet again. The much-anticipated project was expected to be flagged off alongside the Ganga Expressway launch, but reportedly, the inauguration has been postponed due to the pending construction work.
According to the NHAI, pending work near Khandedev and Shivpura Toll Plaza in Lucknow district is yet to be finished. Officials now expect the remaining work, including final road lighting and finishing touches, to be completed by May 15.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the 594-kilometre Ganga Expressway from Meerut to Prayagraj in Hardoi on April 29.
